The day the music dies. (PINT)

Part of Post-It Note Tuesday. Play along here.

OH NO! Don’t tell Mr. Zuber from 7th grade band, who laid down my orchestral foundations…Yes, as the Lovely Liz pointed out, a sax is a child in the woodwind family, not brass. And jeez, I should know this because #3 has been roaming the house, just blowing into the mouthpiece to get used to the reed. It sounds like 100 geese dying. Even the dogs are worried.

Not to go all band nerd on you, but sax is part of the woodwind fam, not brass. 🙂

Oh jeez. Will you be my fact checker? I’ll pay you in witty tweets. Or not so witty tweets. (Read: pay will vary.)

My older cousin used to use his trombone to scare us little kids into thinking a plane was crashing on the house… so yeah… I feel your pain. 🙂

Bwahaha! Just imagine that one day they will be rich and famous musicians and maybe it will make it sound better right now? 😉

My son never wanted to be in band. My daughter, however, is driving me bananas with her flute.

Oh, this is so funny and so true. My brother played the saxophone and it was saxo-HIDEOUS SOUNDING NOISE. ALL THE TIME. And he was in high school, btw. For a boy under 10? Should be illegal.

  7. Missy @ Wonder, Friend Says:

Ha! My son (only 4) said yesterday that he would like “all of the instruments” for Christmas, “most especially the violin.” Oh, sure. No problem, kiddo. Apparently he got to play with a violin in music class at preschool and, according to him, it makes THE BEST noises.

I just bet it does… help me!!

I completely support music and music education, but I would like a sound-proof room, or maybe just another person’s home, in which my children can practice.
