Boo.
(or: Bah. Blech. I’m ready for Halloween to be over.)
I’m not going to go into detail here about my hatred lack of love for Halloween. I’ll just sound mean and grumpy, so I’ll refrain. (No commentary from loved ones, please.)
However, please take a gander at these two lovely creations, made with love for two boys’ Halloween parties today. I haven’t heard from Martha Stewart (yet), but I did submit them to Not-Martha for her consideration and review. I’m optimistic.
These creations were first spotted in Dean & Deluca’s bakery cases during last week’s Day of Hair. The tag on them read, “$195/ea.” Yes, you read that correctly. Mine did not cost $195 to make, but we all know you can’t put a price on love.
And just so you know I was in the right frame of mind, note the small sign in my kitchen, visible in the background:

Those… are simply adorable. I’m impressed!
And I’m curious to see how many Martha points you are awarded. If you don’t score big, I fear there is no hope for the rest of us.

How totally cool. My response to those $195.00 cakes would have been to go to the nearest supermarket to see if i could find something close to those cakes. You are a better person than I. :-))

Impressive!! Nice job, Al! I think the Release All Negative Feelings must be right next to the “Bar Open” sign, right? Happy Halloween!! XOXO – B

Adorable! I would give you major points for those. I just read Lori at In Pursuit of Martha Points post called Boo, too!

I knew we had a lot in common, Alyson. So happy Halloween is over. Fare thee well, annoying holiday. And by the way, are those ghosts? What ARE those? Am I stupid? (don’t answer that) Are they edible? I’m going to fail this test.

Absolutely gorgeous. I am greatly impressed. Now if I pay you like a tenth of that will you make me one?

Man, and I thought my ghost cupcakes were cool.
No, that’s a lie. I didn’t make ghost cupcakes. But I wish I did. Then I could be considered half as cool as you.
